That said, I might have to make an annotation. It was my intention to say that he 'adopted' those ideas for his games.. If I'm correct in that, based on what I've read. lol, not that he was the originator of the saying.

IIRC he attributed it to MAR Barker in Confessions of a DM. I will double check later.
