Planning a head for Gary Con game sign ups for the 27th, and I see that Zach H has two games, but conflict with one I am running, and another I planned to attend that's a sequel to one from last year.

We'll at least have to meet up since we didn't manage it last year!

While at Gary Con IX, I asked Tom Wham to sign the Holmes Blue Box rulebook I picked up a couple years ago. (I gave my original to the younger of my two younger brothers when I left for college.)

Tom said, "I didn't do anything in that."

I said, "Sure you did, take a look."

Tom flipped through it and saw one of his pictures and said, "Gee that looks familiar, I guess I did."

For some reason, for the past many years, I had it in my head that my brother and I started with Holmes Blue Box in...

For some reason, for the past many years, I had it in my head that my brother and I started with Holmes Blue Box in 8th grade.

However, a couple weeks ago, someone mentioned that the AD&D Monster Manual came out in 1978, and I know that we had to wait for all of the AD&D books to come out.

I called my brother tonight and confirmed that it was actually 7th grade that we started.

So in march/April of this year, I will have played D&D for 40 years!

The Holmes cover to me is D&D.
