For now, Chris McDowall's OSR discord server seems the best bet for a temporary life raft. (Link is here https://discord.gg/Ewfy7Zv )

  2. I tried to use Discord once and it just seemed like a terrible interface.

  3. Ok, I don't really understand Discord (the text chatting seems to be like the IRC of years ago), but I started a HolmesBasic server, which is sort of like a community over there (I think). I probably won't use it much for now, but it's there --- discordapp.com - Discord - Free voice and text chat for gamers

  4. Discord is better as a voice option for running online games with your Virtual Tabletop of choice.

Each Discord server has multiple channels/topics, and if you are a member of multiple servers, you get bombarded with information and can't keep up with it.

I've used Discord a couple years now, and IMO it is not useful or anywhere close to what we currently have in G+.

Personally, I can't join any more Discord servers/Channels as I can't keep up with the ones I'm on now.

  5. Zach H, can you post an invite link to the HolmesBasic server? We can't see the server without an invitation.

  6. Jeremy Smith MeWe looks nice. I created a Holmes Basic D&D group over there as well. mewe.com - MeWe: The best chat & group app with privacy you trust.
