This fits the trend of other RoleAids modules from the time that have, for example, Frazetta and Vallejo on the cover. Presumably trying to catch the attention of D&D players used to buying only TSR modules by using cover art by established fantasy artists.
I had a bunch of RoleAids modules I got on deep discount when one of the mall booksellers, B. Dalton IIRC, was clearing out stock. Angry Wizard was the only one of the Fez series I had. It has an interesting premise in that the party is polymorphed into a group of monsters.
Because he got really angry after tasting their weird salty greasy crispyness. He's using the beer to wash away the taste, although even the beer is strangely cold and frothy.
The walls of air is a good series
ReplyDeleteI'm familiar with the image from the cover of the Mayfair Role-Aids module, Fez III: Angry Wizard (1984).

Per the ISFDB, the paperback of Time of the Dark came out in 1982, with this cover. The artist is David Mattingly.

ReplyDeleteSo is he going to eat those chips?
ReplyDeleteThat depends on just how angry he is.
ReplyDeleteThat's what prompted this whole post. Why'd he drop the open bag of chips on the floor?
ReplyDeleteBecause he got really angry after tasting their weird salty greasy crispyness. He's using the beer to wash away the taste, although even the beer is strangely cold and frothy.
ReplyDeleteI've heard we Americans keep our beer too cold.
