The Renga in Blue blog has just finished the first decade of an "All the Adventures" series (https://bluerenga.wordpress.com/all-the-adventures/), playing through every text adventure game in chronological order. This is all pre-Infocom stuff; way more games than I ever realized existed at that point.
The final game of the 1970s was "Adventure 501", one of the many Adventure variants:
