The State of Submissions for FEI V2

The State of Submissions for FEI V2

One goal I have for Volume Two is to get more voices between the front and back covers. We had a dozen different contributors in Volume One. We can get MORE into Volume Two.

So look at it this way: Where do you know that your voice can be heard? Most likely in the spaces where there are few or no voices now...

Below is a list of what’s happening with each reference piece, in terms of how many contributors have handled that subject. Three is a good number for a zine-sized thing. Two is not bad.

Can we get more for those subjects that have only one voice or no voices so far? Can we get NEW VOICES into the mix?

Only you can answer that. Let’s hear what you say...

  1. I've only written two entries myself, so far, and these are them:

  2. Speckled Muck
    Move: 60 feet/turn
    Hit Dice: 3+1
    Armor Class: 5
    Treasure Type: nil
    Alignment: neutral
    Attacks: 1
    Damage: 1-4
Nearly clear and dotted with numerous bits of detritus, a speckled muck is a mobile mass of slime drawn to warmth and movement. It attacks with a mild acid that is especially damaging to paper, parchments, and light fabrics. Anyone attacked by a speckled muck needs to make a saving throw vs. magic wand or lose 1-4 such items irretrievably from each attack.

  3. Robe of Trucking
These unassuming-looking robes double the bipedal movement of the wearer for 2-8 turns, once per day. They can be used additional times in a day by rolling under the Intelligence of the wearer on 3 6-sided dice each time. If this roll is equal to or above the Int score, the wearer does not gain the extra speed and instead halves their movement for 2-12 turns.

  4. I have no idea what that is, but I like it already.

  5. It was right there the whole time. The whole time! It just took me an entire Autumn, Winter, and Spring to see it...

  6. Terra Frank, is the skeleton merchant still happening?

I don't need it today, but knowing that it's coming will help with planning/layout chores.
