Losels did get a 2nd ed write up in the From the Ashes boxed set.
Interesting, that might be because they had appeared in Artifact of Evil (as noted by Trent), which was published by TSR before Gygax left.
There's a B/X version of the Thoul by Tom Moldvay that was thought to be based on a typo in the original D&D encounter tables, but Gygax later indicated that it was indeed a monster that he had created. Gygax's version was never published by TSR.
