    I bet he did paint them. I recall seeing a pic of Holmes with a vast array of miniatures on a table next to him; the pic accompanied an article about using miniatures in war-games or something. I don't have a link, but I recall a blog reprinted the article.

    Got them today and they are even more beautiful in person. Now I need to run some Holmes Basic using figures owned by Holmes himself.
