Would players really survive a path this grueling?
ReplyDeleteJoseph Delaney WHOA ! In old-school you actually kill your PLAYERS ! :P
ReplyDeleteI sure hope the players would. Their characters may have to be re-rolled a few times... :-)
ReplyDeleteOr characters. Maybe we should just kill characters. :-)
ReplyDeleteI'm surprised the Slaver series isn't in there. The old compilation suggested it as the direct follow up to ToEE.
ReplyDeleteNoah Marshall His answer was in response to a query on "running an "All Gygax, all the time" campaign", so he limited his answer to modules he actually wrote or co-wrote himself.
ReplyDeleteWow, I knew he hadn't written the actual original modules, but until just now I was positive that Gygax had written the "Scourge" compilation for some reason.
ReplyDeleteThat makes sense then.
Seems to me they'd be too high in levels to go from Keep to Hommlet (if they survived).
