Great post by Hedgehobbit on the 2,000 Coppers blog about treating EPT as an OD&D Supplement rather than a stand-alone game.

  1. I've never looked too closely at the rules to EPT (percentile systems wrankle me), but this post has me thinking I need to take a closer look.

  2. Adam Muszkiewicz yeah, it's virtually an OD&D supplement with some excellent monsters, spells and magic items. Percentile stuff is just a minor thing in EPT, the setting offers quite a bit. I've used the monsters in OD&D to surprise veteran players with great effect.

  3. Only the ability scores are percentile. The other stuff (to hits, saves, damage, etc) is the same as OD&D.
