Eric ("Murray the M-U") Frasier's D&D books from 1976-1977 and last Murray character sheet. This picture appears in B&W in Tales of Peril, page 303 as part of Eric's essay "My Time As Murray". I believe the Manual of Aurania is a first printing (there is a second printing with corrected typos).
I've made another photo gallery for gaming artifacts like this. https://sites.google.com/site/zenopusarchives/home/holmes/other-photos
ReplyDeleteI see spell points on that character sheet. That's Blasphemy!
ReplyDeletereally cool find.
Yes, they were using the spell point system from Warlock. zenopusarchives.blogspot.com - The Warlock OD&D Spell Point System
ReplyDeleteMurray's entire sheet (front and back, which has his spells) is reproduced in larger form in Tales of Peril. It looks like he has 34 Spell Points, although using the Warlock formula (HP + Level + Int Mod) he should only have 29 (22 + 7 + 0).
ReplyDeleteUnless I am reading his Int wrong. I thought it was 11, but maybe it's actually 16? That would give him a +1 HP per HD, which is 4 at 7th level, so 33 total SP.
ReplyDeleteYeah that's a first printing Manual of Aurania.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Guy!
