A #skullmountain variant by Darlene, from her 1982 card game Jasmine: The Battle for Mid-Realm.

A #skullmountain variant by Darlene, from her 1982 card game Jasmine: The Battle for Mid-Realm. She has a page about it on her blog: http://darlenetheartist.com/tag/fire-queen-of-ildshoii/

"Ildshoii Castle, carved from shiny black obsidian rock, rose high above a crown of volcanos. The dark castle was the domain of Melantha, the ruler of Medrylthorn ..."

  1. That's a card from her Battle For The Mid Realm game, if I am not mistaken.

  4. The style of art reminds me of the TSR monster cards - Darlene did some of these as well.

  5. I’ve had this card game for years but never looked at in detail. It seems like there is a good amount of campaign fodder hidden within.

  6. Definitely, Tony Rowe - speaking of which, it's worth looking up Darlene's old Jasmine strips in Dragon as yet more fodder. That aside, if you haven't played it - break it out and try it. I was really surprised at how rich the gameplay was when I played it at GaryCon; it holds up quite vs. recent game designs.

  7. I just started reading the Jasmine strips myself. Apparently she developed the card game after Dragon canceled the comic after its first year. http://darlenetheartist.com/darlenes-stores/jasmine-the-battle-for-the-mid-realm-collector-card-game/
