    Well, actually, even though no new additions outside of the basic set were generated after "Swords & Spells", the original game materials continued to be printed until November of 1979, or if you count the Holmes basic set correctly as OD&D, December 1979.

  3. Good points Brian. I don't even think that Dec 1979 date is accurate for the last printing of the Basic Set, given that it included B2 which apparently couldn't have been published by that point (Frank Mentzer started in Jan '80 and he worked on editing B2).
