  1. LOL, I might be the only grumpy old grognard who doesn't like those.
(and yes, I've owned a set, or was it it two? I dunno, I'm a grumpy old grognard...)

  2. You're not the only one, Rich, not the only one ;)

  3. It seems like the dice companies try very hard not to match the old colors too closely.

  4. It's hard to find black ink on any die except the light colors (white, yellow). The Creative Publications dice were sold pre-inked, but Jon's post says the inking was done by hand

  5. I like to have several sets for beginners. That way if they get confused, I just call out the color of the die for them to roll.

  6. Gerald Williams I've done the same with the kids; the red d8 is always for sword damage for that reason.

  7. I'm glad to see I'm not the only one who enjoys playing with their kids. Of course it was always funny when their friends would ask if dad was running a game that weekend or not.

That and their friends practically drew lots to see who'd come over to eat on Spaghetti Night (Wednesdays).

  8. I never thought of color coding for kids. Thanks for the tip!

  9. Shame they didn't just move the dice and take another picture so we could see all the words...

  11. Rich Franks I agree these were the worst. Need a before and after of these dice. Horrible plastic that peeled and disintegrated within weeks
