There was a report on ODD74 that previous Drivethru purchasers of the Chainmail PDF (when it was on sale years ago) received a note that it has been updated, which may mean that it is about to go on sale again. http://odd74.proboards.com/post/192320
Previous purchasers can access the new pdf. Here's a description by Stormcrow: "It looks like the update is a cleaned-up scan of the book, not a recreated version like they did with D&D. The file size is one-seventh of the old file size, the type is darker, you don't see the binder clips on the cover or the color of the paper, and the almost-blank "inquiries regarding rules" page before the title page has been added. The back cover has been added. All the pages have been straightened. This one include the purchase watermark; the old one didn't have a watermark. You can't see any bleed-through from overleaf text. Overall, a great improvement."
So that makes OD&D complete on DMsGuild, right? Or is there still a release or two missing? (Not talking accessories so much as "core books and supplements" if you know what I mean.)

ReplyDeletePerhaps the email campaign had an effect. Time we all dropped WotC a line about Holmes?

ReplyDeleteSwords & Spells is still outstanding, and Strategic Review - although I'm not sure if the latter is within WotC's ability to re-release.
ReplyDeleteChainmail is available for new purchases as well on DMsGuild. I just bought one (I'm a first-time buyer).
ReplyDeleteDM's Guild, DriveThru RPG, and RPG Now are all just shopfronts for OneBookShelf, so anything available on one will be available on all the others.
ReplyDeleteWish Alarums and Excursions and Imagine were available as well.
ReplyDeleteRandy Gelling You can get Alarums & Excursions pdfs from Lee Gold. $2 per issue.
