Saw a great post-apoc anime film over the holidays - Patema Inverted, from 2013. It starts off in an underground society, like Logan's Run or City of Ember. Discovering the nature of the world is part of the fun, so recommended for fans of Metamorphosis Alpha and Gamma World.
