Half-Elf: At creation, a half-elf character must decide if he or she favors his human or elf parentage. If human, they will follow all rules for humans; if elf, all rules for elves.

    Since the Holmes Basic is really the intro set for OD&D, you could simply use the half-elf in Supplement I: Greyhawk
