Larry Elmore's original idea for the cover art of Mentzer Basic has more elements in common with Sutherland's for Holmes Basic. Elmore is now offering a limited edition print of this art.

I like this, and wish they'd went with this cover instead. Elmore loves to put feathers in the women's hair! It occurs to me that perhaps she is a Swanmay in Larry's campaign. ;)

ReplyDeleteEric Potter it's because the dragon is actually shown speaking; in this case, "Oh my god, girl-friend, where do you get your feathers? Those are just to die for!"
