Ok tested it again & it's working for me in Adobe Reader, but not Preview (the mac program). This may be a problem with the way I created it (printing to pdf on a mac). Alfons H. what pdf reader are you using?
Forgot to mention that I made the hyperlinks "live" in the 2nd version, so you can just click on them rather than copying and pasting. The hyperlinks work when I view it on a mac, but not my Android phone.
Tested it in Chrome & Firefox. The PDF had the hyperlinks but they still linked to the non-working pages. ie The link for paleologos was http://zenopusarchives.blogspot.com/2012/11/portown-bypaleologos.html with no 'by-paleologos' It was still one word no hyphen. Buuut if I copy and paste the text [without clicking on the link] out of the PDF into a browser it works just fine.
Alfons H. Thanks for the info. Due to the continuing problems, I think I'm just going to edit the doc to remove the actual hyperlinks. They aren't really important to the content.
The map link you have in the PDF at the end 'zenopusarchives.blogspot.com/2012/11/portown-bypaleologos.html'
ReplyDeletecomes up;
Sorry, the page you were looking for in this blog does not exist.
Looks like a "dash" got deleted from it! Should be "...by-paleologos..." I'll fix it. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteThe link in the PDF to the random names generator leads to a "page doesn't exist" site.
ReplyDeleteHere is the name generator v1.1: docs.google.com - HOLMESIAN RANDOM NAMES 1.1.pdf
ReplyDeleteThanks Cameron. I'll take a look. I haven't updated the PDF yet.
ReplyDeleteOk, I think PDF hyperlinks are fixed. Please test it for me.
ReplyDeleteNope still coming up "page does not exist"
