Andy C - One BookShelf. They are the largest PoD RPG service. They run DriveThruRPG.com, RPGNow.com, WargameVault.com, DriveThruCards.com, etc. They used to run DNDClassics.com (and do run the replacement dmsguild.com).
Huh, interesting.. didn't know they owned all of those sites on the back end. Surprised they don't just go to one front end portal rather than maintaining all of those separate sites..
They each have a different focus other than the first two, and the RPG ones were founded separately and merged after both already had an audience.
The ones created after the merge make it clear they are just focused PoD stores. Sites like DriveThruFiction and DriveThruComics. There is some overlap, where products can appear on multiple sites when it makes sense (cards and comics having to do with roleplaying, for instance).
The RPG stuff automatically overlaps. I've had sales flagged as coming from the D&D site, even though they weren't D&D products (except maybe in the broadest sense).
I think they each track their own "hottest" items, and that sort of thing.
And I think this is perhaps the longest I've waited for a product to clear.
It actually all overlaps. I routinely flip the domain around, and even use a Chrome Plugin to do so. Even if you have an emailed link to a free item (for instance, a Kickstarter pledge reward), you can change the domain and it'll work. DriveThruFiction and RPGNow I have auto-switching to DriveThruRPG.
