Jonathan Perkel Heh heh, kinda looks like a snuffalupagus doesn't it? If I'm not mistaken its a Macrauchenia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Macrauchenia), a Pleistocene mammal.
That's right Andy C. They came with a set of prehistoric animals in the 60s/70s. Marx or MPC. I can't find a picture of the exact set I had, but it had three mountains, plastic trees, a bunch of blue and yellow dinosaurs and mammals, and several brown cavemen
Zach, you're not thinking of the Marx Prehistoric playset are you? http://www.dinosaurcollector.150m.com/marx.htm That's the one I had growing up.. wish I hadn't sold it when I moved out of my parents' house after college!
I just found a picture of it that I have stored on my computer. It actually doesn't have the Macrauchenia, so I must have gotten him in a different set around the same time.
Wish I did. Hard to find prehistoric mammal toys in Korea.
ReplyDeleteDang, its been a long time...
ReplyDeleteWhuzzat? A Snuffalupagus?
ReplyDeleteIs that from one of the old Marx plastic toy sets?

ReplyDeleteAndy C The set I had was a very similar one but from the late 70s, with different colored animals - many in the same garish blue as this beast.
