Interesting poll, and a tough one. I'm pretty torn between the hammer with 3 iron spikes, and the grappling hook with 50' of rope. Both are pretty versatile and can be used in any number of ways.
Most Poles I know are hard-headed, stubborn, and Bohemian thinkers, but a 10' Pole is always a good ally to have on your side in a fight!
