This has circulated before, but I haven't posted it in this collection. This is Gary Gygax at work in his TSR office at 723 Williams St, Lake Geneva. Hand-dated by someone as December 1977, which is the same month the Monster Manual came out. An upside down lid of a Holmes Basic set is at the top of the pile of books behind his head. Perhaps he is working on the Players Handbook?
Those sure look like Judges Guild products in their shrink wrap on the right hand side, and that kind of looks like a JG map through the "v" between the books... Wish it was at higher resolution.

ReplyDeleteMe or James? If me, yes I will! Running the Zenopus game on Fri morning from 9-1 am and Sat night from 7-11 pm. The games are up on the schedule. Will be there from Thur afternoon until Sunday afternoon. I think I saw your name on the schedule for at least one game?
