For Dyson Logos in case he wants to add a version of this to his annotated Monster Manual. The short version is that at some point during his time at TSR, Erol Otus drew a Masher for the Monster Manual that was never included.

    Very cool post - wasn't aware Steve Marsh had been the creator of the Masher and other underwater critters. Given the varied contributions of Marsh, Tim Kask and the other TSR Old Guard, would be cool if there was a creator index which listed each of their creations with their names (as opposed to just author credits of whole books, modules and articles).

    I've never seen the Slithering Tracker pic by Willingham. Thanks for that!

    Steve Marsh also created the Sahuagin and the Locathah, my favorite seaborne monsters.
