Choose Your Own Adventure #6, The Green Slime, 1982, from the "junior" series that had a separate numbering system. I found this recently at a used bookstore and read it all, inc every ending, to my son in about 30 min last night. No connection to the Green Slime of D&D other than appearance. It actually moves like a Ooze or Pudding. Some interesting ideas that could be used in D&D, like food preferences and animals that eat the slime. In one ending they lure the slime out of their house with items made of rubber. What if black puddings would rather eat your oil than you?
