Well, I discovered something new, that I didn't know before.

Well, I discovered something new, that I didn't know before... Zach, I'm sure you knew this. There is a version of "Keep on the Borderlands" that is based off of Holme's rules. That is, the monsters all have a DX (Dexterity) score, and the rules are strictly Holmes basic.

Are there any other modules out there like that? I know B1 came with the boxed set initially.

  1. The Chapel of Silence in Dragon magazine #50 is the only other one published by some form of TSR. The Treasure of Barlawn was published in a Judges Guild Journal. See more information on Zenopus' site here: https://sites.google.com/site/zenopusarchives/home/modules-and-scenarios

  3. That is very cool! The system was abandon too soon although as an introduction to roleplaying and D&D it cannot be beat.

  4. Tony has it covered. I included DX scores in the 1-page introductory Beyond the Door to Monster Mountain:

  5. The monsters in Hargrave's Arduin Grimoire books are all given DX scores, in addition to normal (old D&D) stats.
