For the 40th anniversary I played D&D with my 6yo for the first time today. I converted Lego Heroica to Holmes D&D, using the microfigures and minis to build a town and dungeon.
I've been meaning to use my Heroica sets like this with my two nephews. The 8-year-old is already an avid player of Axis and Allies (!) but the six-year-old just doesn't have the same attention span.
Awesome! We got the Waldurk Heroica set as a family gift for Christmas and plan to use it for our home game
ReplyDeleteHolmes referee prep time obviously isn't long enough if it leaves you time for this! ;-)
ReplyDeleteI actually constructed the dungeon on the fly during the game!
