ReplyDeleteMy complete list is much longer!
I really must look into the rights of those Cthulhu creatures and whether any of them are legitimately public domain. I shall also have to see about producing analogues of the Pellucidarian creatures.
ReplyDeleteBy the way, congratulations on getting the rights to use the Dreenoi a while back.
ReplyDeleteHolmes himself wrote stats for the Pellucidar Denizens in A&E #18.
Lovecraft's works are tricky; some are public domain but others may not be. The stories here should all be PD: http://en.wikisource.org/wiki/Author:Howard_Phillips_Lovecraft
That was a real old-school-cameraderie moment - more so than the spirit of the age in the actual old days ... ;-)
ReplyDeleteI probably will, after a little check on each of those creatures. Anything created by Lovecraft pre-1923 is public domain, although trademarks complicate the issue. I will also have to come up with analogues for mahars, sagoths and thipdars, of course!
