His account of how he resolved actions in Braunstein is exactly how they work in the Powered by the Apocalypse RPGs, from the fictional trigger, the roll of 2d6, and the results of full success, mixed success (had to drop the bag of gold) and failure. It's interesting how some of the newest games model the oldest ones.

  2. Heh, makes you wonder whether the hobby might have been helped out considerably by the original games actually spelling stuff out instead of assuming their audience already knew what to do ... Rule One of technical writing!  ;-)
