A local print shop took one of Holmes books and scanned it, added the Moldvay basic pdf I purchased from D&D classics, and then made high res scans for the covers which completed a coil bound book.

  1. That's pretty awesome. Can they print up another now that they've done it once?

  2. Stephen Newton ..yes. I've saved the files in case I want another made. Basically I took one (of several) copies that i own of a Holmes book, they PDF scanned it, took the PDF of Moldvay I had purchased, and the cover images I found via google images. Not sure the type of paper they printed it on, but very thick and seems it will hold up. They high res scan and printed the covers and laminated. And coil bound for easy page turning. Any local print shop in your area should be able to do the same. I know a lot of people use "chain store printers" etc, but we have none here and I prefer a locally owned business anyway. They usually do it with pride and the product comes out better. Hope that helps!

  3. Tony T would you mind DM'ing me the name of your store. I'll just have them do one for me and mail me a copy. My Holmes book stays in the box now, :)

  5. Yeah, just Holmes. Mostly for the nostalgia of having a hardcopy I can read without fear of messing up the pages.
