I remembered that the Were-Sharks in the original story are affected by Sleep, so they must have had 4 HD or less. The 1975 Warlock version of Sleep affects 1d6 of 3 or 4 HD.
Very cool. Considering that this article was from 1976 and Jaws had just been released in 1975, I wonder if Hollywood's favorite shark was on their brains when the wereshark was conceived..
