What happens to all that slightly used equipment from all those deceased adventurers?

What happens to all that slightly used equipment from all those deceased adventurers? It gets sold to new adventurers in a bundle at a discount.

    I like the idea of a new PC getting the equipment pack from the same player's previous PC who died a horrible death... :-)
