The "real green slime trap" is a hoot! I had that green slime toy as a kid - that stuff fought many a battle against green army men and the Micronauts : )
I remember that stuff - it developed a funny smell and a less fresh green colour after a while. I bet you couldn't sell it these days. It claimed to be non-toxic but you probably still don't want your toddlers eating the stuff ... ;-)
I remember that, too! The "fresh" slime right out of the garbage-can shaped container was a more iridescent green with a distinctive smell. As it dried out over time, it became darker green and more rubbery.
Now I seem to recall there was also a purple slime with plastic worms, which came out a little later...
Speaking of dungeon model construction, it is alive and well.. ran across these cool photos of a guy's models of the dungeon levels from the old Heritage paint-n-play sets ("Crypt of the Sorcerer", the upper finished-level dungeon; and "Caverns of Doom", the lower cave-type dungeon level). The combination of the two is reminiscent of the upper/lower level typing in B1 (constructed dungeon above, cavern level below) and would make a good, small-scale Holmesian dungeon.
It's "Temple of the Bloodstained God" in full color!
