I couldn't help but think about that quote when I discovered this particular website.

Perhaps the trader in the Keep in B2, who is "very interested in obtaining furs" could have one for sale, which would give players a clue that Owlbears haunt the surrounding countryside, and that if they defeat one they could sell it to him.
