  1. Makes sense. Besides small weapons like daggers, it'd make sense to allow 3 man sized creatures in a 10' wide corridor if they were using stabbing spears and formed up like a Greek phalanx. In fact, you could really double down if you had three dwarves with spears and shields in the front rank and 3 humans with spears in the second rank, with their spears arrayed over the dwarves' shoulders. Good luck rushing past that!

  2. Great idea! Taking this even further, the back row of 3 humans could fire arrows over the dwarves until the monsters engage, and then the back row can switch to spears.

  3. This is one of the great tactical rules that still holds up after 40 years, but I've always considered this to be a standard part of the game. ;)
