'Bout choked on my drink when I saw the dollar amount in your headline. But reading the backstory, now I understand the unique nature of this particular DMG. Gygax autos are pretty common. Also the most forged. I've informed 4 eBay sellers over the years that their Gygax "signatures" were obvious fakes. (You'd think the forgers would do a bit better, given that one only must open a PHB for an example of EGG's signature. But no...)
